  • "Dear Flavia,
Read your book last night from cover to cover. I was thunderstruck at the guts you had to survive in such a terrible situation and not only survive but triumph in the end. Hats off to you. I too have devoted the last few years of my life to women's causes by starting an NGO that works in 10 villages near Pune in 1999. Of course the impact compared to your work is very small but we each do what we can. I am just amazed how you pulled yourself out of a morass of despair and went on to become the amazing person you are today. Truly an inspiration to us all. I would like to order 3 more copies of your autobiography. "

Thanks a lot for the workshop ‘ Violence against women - Legal strategies’. It really went off well and the MA students of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Women’s Studies Centre found it useful and informative. Hope to be in touch about internships and blocks soon. Warm regards."
